                                                    What woke me heard what I heard:

                                                    that the new age is… considerable,

                                                    dense as this achingly for-sake-

                                                    of-appearance quarter-acre

                                                    of green hurt and muscle-bound

                                                    planetary charitable thrash: all  

                                                    those foxhole lifetimes spent rounding

                                                    up to the nearest

                                                    me—

                                                              yet wading enough

                                                    between most days,

                                                    somehow the beforehand fit,

                                                    the working cumulus pulse that fans out…

                                                    Unhappiness? Well that

                                                    was just not knowing what

                                                    to do with the happiness we had.

                                                    There was a lot it didn’t say,

                                                    but nothing is said to everyone.
